Joseph A. Habansky

HABANSKY Joseph A. Habansky, age 91, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, April 03, 2006. Born in Bridgeport to the late Andrew and Pauline Habansky, Joe resided in the Bridgeport/Stratford area his entire life. He was a top executive for the Housewares Division of the General Electric Co. in Bridgeport for more than 45 years. In his latter years at G.E. he was a liaison between several of G.ECs international plants. He was a member of the G.E. Elfun Club and also a member of the ARS. During his successful career at G.E. Joe touched many lives through his integrity and quiet strength. He will be remembered most as a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather that cherished every moment with his family. He will be sadly missed and always in our hearts. Joe was predeceased by his loving wife, Ann; and his two sisters, Mary Mesaros and Pauline Pruckner. He is survived by his daughter, Judith Wulinsky and her husband, Joel, of Shelton; a son Joseph J. Habansky and his wife, Donna, of Stratford. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica, Rachel, and James Pluff. And Tara, Meghan, Joshua, Adam Habansky; and a great-grandson, Bryan Habansky. He is also survived by his Nephew, Peter Mikulak and his wife, Katie of Milford. Funeral services will take place on Thursday April 6, 2006 at 9:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratfprd, and at 10 a.m. with a Requiem Funeral service in St. John's Orthodox Church Broadbridge Avenue, Stratford, with the V. Rev Peter Paproski officiating. Interment will be in St John's Cemetery Stratford.
