Keith Morrison Obituary

MORRISON Keith William Morrison, age 65 of Pittsburgh, one time Fairfield resident, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Morrison. He is survived by his mother, Mildred I. Lovuola; his loving children, Keith M. Morrison (Joy) of Fairfield, Scott Morrison of Fairfield, Ann Zampolin (Ron) of Briar Cliff Manor, N.Y.; six grandchildren; sisters, Linda Morrison (Jon Elmendorf) of Texas, Nancy Morrison (Brooks Tickel) Pa.; his uncle, William Morrison; and his former wife, Cathy Morrison of Westport. Keith graduated from Pittsburgh's South Hills High School in 1962 and attended Duquesne University where he studied accounting. After college, Keith became a stockbroker and worked at various brokerage firms in Pittsburgh. Keith was a proud supporter and one time president of the Pittsburgh Northside YMCA where he spent many fun-filled days as a young man. A sportsman, his knowledge and love of baseball and football would top his thoughts as in his final days where he received happily the news that his Pittsburgh Steelers were once again to compete for the Super Bowl. His happiest days were spent on the golf course where he developed into an accomplished golfer, much like his dad and grandfather before him. He was a notorious humorist with great wit and a shine in his eye. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Simon & Jude Church, 1607 Greentree Road, Pittsburgh, PA15220 on Saturday, February 5, at 1 p.m. If desired, memorial contributions in Keith's name can be made to the YMCA on the Northside of Pittsburgh.

I just recently heard of Keith's passing. We spent a lot of time "crashing" mixers @ Duquesne University. Great fun and memories. I regret that we lost touch and miss his friendship. My condolences to his family and love to Cathy.

I regret only recently learning of the passing. I have had a picture of us golfing behind my desk for several years and we used to see each other randomly from time to time. His passing is a loss as he was always full of excitement as I knew him and always gracious .
I shall send on a donation to the North Side YMCA and be honored to do it. I can only wish the best to his family and trust that his memory will be a blessing to them. Having known Keith was a Godsend to me as I trust it was to all others.
My sympathies.

My wife Sue and I send prayers and thoughts to Keith's family in this time of sorrow. Keith and I met at Duquesne in the mid 1960's and became instant best friends. His Mom and Dad invited me into their family and we invited Keith into ours in Uniontown, PA. My first part time college job while at Duquesne was working with Mildred in the pharmacy. I met Keith's sisters, loved Cathy and their sons. Keith was in our wedding along with Clyde Villa on August 8, 1980. What a great time we all had that week. Keith and I remained friends for over 40 years. I gave Keith the name Sweetpea and in return, he gave me the name Cue.

May the Lord continue to bless Keith's family and may he rest in peace?

Peace,
Mike

I met Keith through my brother Mike Thomas while they were attending Duquesne. I was younger and those guys took me under their wing and I was so impressed by them(also Clyde Villa). I also remember Cathy when you had your first child. That was many years ago. I will always have fond memories of Keith. God bless the entire family.
Sincerely,
Joe Thomas
