Larry Simmons Obituary
Larry "Chick" Simmons passed away unexpectedly at his home in Sanford, Florida on February 13, 2024. Larry was born May 15,1951. He was raised in Shelton, CT, and graduated from Shelton High School in 1969. He attended Norwalk Community College. He retired as Vice President of Operations from Respiratory Health Services.
Chick leaves his beloved wife of 46 years Maria Petrucci Simmons. He also leaves his son Michael (wife Bev) and daughter Kristen. Chick was predeceased by his father Charles "Chick" Simmons, his sister Mary Peretore, and brother Chuck Simmons. He is survived by his sister Susan Martin (Ed), brother William, sister-in-law Donna, and niece Katie and her family, as well as several cousins. Larry is also survived by his special Bergin and Petrucci family, including several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
No services are scheduled at this time. A memorial service is being planned for this summer.
Chick's family would like to thank all for their prayers and kind thoughts for the family.

I'm pretty lost for words as Billy, just now, told me Larry is gone! Such a loss and, someone I always looked up to. Knowing your family since I was a little kid plus, my dad was a distant cousin, where we played and grew into young men together. It seems like yesterday and tears now fill my eyes not believing it's so...My God give you peace as the road continues on for some of us in our quest to know more and to be with the one's we loved in the past! My Gods arms surround and hug you Maria, Billy and Susan! God Bless and love always....Mike Doll

Sorry for your loss -- Chick was an excellent person -- we competed many times 50 years ago -- Chick was the catcher -- he could play -- his team was loaded -- I'll miss him -- he was my friend
