Lenore Cohen Obituary
Lenore Lang Cohen, age 90, a resident of Bridgeport and Fairfield CT., passed peacefully at St. Vincent's Medical Center on Saturday April 12, 2014. Lenore was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Milton Samuel Cohen, whom she wed during the storm years of World War II. A vibrant women who embodied both the working girl and home maker ethos of other women of The Greatest Generation. She and her husband owned and operated Federal Liquor Store and Courthouse Spirits in Bridgeport CT. She later worked for Golden Apples Candy Company of Southport CT. Lenore is survived by her daughter Joanne Davis and her husband Arthur, her son Stephen Cohen, and her adored grandchildren; Adam, Joshua and Seth Shain. She is also survived by her brother Arnold Lang, and sisters-in-law; Helga Cohen, Lillian Cohen, Frances Berkowitz and her husband Israel, as well as her cherished nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Monday April 14, 2014 (today) at 11:00 am DIRECTLY at Loyalty Cemetery on Burroughs Road in Fairfield. Shiva will be observed at the Davis residence in Fairfield following interment.

So sorry for your loss Joanne. I always enjoyed being with your mom and dad at the store. If you can recall, I worked for Milt at Federal for several of my college years before I got married. Lenore was always very nice to me and I will always remember her own champagne label!

I have only met Lenore once but she was a very warm and inviting woman...so glad I got to meet her! Dearest Joanne, Adam, Joshua and Seth and Stephen my thoughts and heart are with you. May she rest in peace and may you hold on to wonderful memories! Love you always, Karen & Joe
