Mukucha "Job" Chirenje

CHIRENJE Mukucha 'Job' Chirenje, age 61 of Bridgeport, departed this life on Thursday, December 6, 2007 at his residence. He was born in Zimba-bewe, South Africa on April 4, 1946. He moved to the United States in 1972 at the age of 26. Job received his Masters degree in English from Sacred Heart University and he also taught English at the university. He was employed by Chapin & Bangs Steel Co. for 26 years as a steel cutter. Job was always in good spirit, up to his final days and will continue to be loved, remembered and missed. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving son, Arsenio Brown of Bridgeport; daughter, Valencia Palmer; his loving friend and mother of his son, Valencia Brown; son-in-law, Benjamin Bagley; daughter-in-law, Latesha Dewitt; his mother, Mandifusa Chirenje; five brothers, Mike, Newton, Murombo, Mark and Stanley; six sisters, Sara Kahlamba, Helen Nyoni, Ruth Mbawa, Lizzy Mushona, Erny Mukombe and Chenai Murevanhema; nephews; Muchineripi, Kubzai and Mufariri; nieces, Shupikai Mudzimba and Natasha Chrienje; three granddaughters, Tamia Bagley, Jada Brown and Tatbnda Chirenje; a special niece, Chiwoniso Kaminski; and special friends, Ben, William Hurd and Margaret Santos. He was predeceased by his father, Obert Chirenje and wife, Ella; daughters, Zelza Chrienje and Mandi Chrienje. Memorial services will be held on Thursday (TODAY) December 13, 2007 in Golden Hill United Methodist Church at 11 a.m., 210 Elm Street, Bridgeport.
