Nancy Wettenstein Obituary

Nancy Wettenstein
November 8, 2024
Nancy Wettenstein, a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, Connecticut, died on November 8th, at the Mozaic Senior Life, where she resided. She was 100 years of age. Nancy was married to Wilbert Wettenstein on June 2nd, 1946, and spent over 74 years together, living a long and happy marriage consumed with love and laughter. Both Nancy and Will had lived at the Mozaic Senior Life, where they had also volunteered for the past 25 years. Nancy leaves her children, Bruce and Alicia Wettenstein of Easton, Ronnie and Robin Wettenstein of Rochester, and Debbie Zapakin of Somers NY. They have 8 grandchildren, Susan, Jessica, David, Jordan, Jared, Allie, Lauren and Steven, and 10 great grandchildren, Ella, Sophie, Ethan, Benjamin, Olivia, Emma, Lyla, Tyler, Alec and Iris. Nancy was predeceased by her brother, Harry Bloomberg, and sister, Leah Klahr.
We would like to thank the staff of the Mozaic Senior Life for their care and devotion to helping our parents, and all the residents of the center, Janice Gomes, Veronica Webb, Kelly LaFrance, Tahara and Andrea; their care made a difference in her final days. We will always remember the way she was treated with dignity and love, and it helped bring my family comfort during such a difficult time.
A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 11:00 AM, directly at Rodeph Sholom Memorial Park, 183 Kings Hwy. E, Fairfield, CT. Memorial contributions may be made to Mozaic Senior Life in Bridgeport, CT ( www.mozaicsl.org ).

How I remember your mom with the "girls". It was wonderful every Thursday
night with my mom and the rest of them. Nancy was always so sweet and loving to me. She was beautiful in and out. She will never be forgotten by our generation. Their husbands were all buddies from WW11. May she rest in peace. You will all share wonderful memories. Love, Lynn S. Mooney
