Peter Dahl Obituary

Peter Graf Dahl
March 5, 1941 - April 22, 2025
Peter Graf Dahl, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away in his home in Boca Raton, Florida, on April 22, 2025.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 58 years, Cynthia (Cindy); sons, Darren and Kevin and their wives Stephanie and Korene; grandchildren, Abby, Brendan, Aiden, and Logan; Peter also leaves behind his sister, Judi, her husband Kenneth, their daughters, and their families. He is also survived by Cindy's brother, Keith, his wife, Linda, their children, and their families. He also leaves behind many friends and extended family in Stratford, Conn., and Boca Raton, Fla.
Peter will be remembered for his laugh, warmth, and wisdom.
Born and raised in Stratford, Peter had a lifelong love of boating, tennis, and family. A graduate of Bridgeport University, he built a successful banking career, rising to Senior Executive Vice President at Citytrust, later part of Chase Manhattan Bank. He met Cindy while working at the bank, and together they built a joyful life full of traditions and travel.
Peter found his greatest joy near the water or tennis and croquet courts. He and Cindy competed in many doubles tennis tournaments and celebrated their victories. After retiring to Boca Raton, they continued to relish competing and winning in croquet and bocce matches. He possessed a playful spirit, a strong work ethic, and a remarkable gift for leadership and friendship.
The family will hold a celebration of life in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sweet Dream Makers (Boca Raton), Trustbridge Hospice, or One Tree Planted.

It was Pete who worked tirelessly with myself and past neighbors to spread holiday cheer on Prayer Spring Rd. with the setting of the Luminary Candles. It spread warmth at Christmas that unified our neighborhood. A Good Guy who will be missed.
RIP Pete!

My heart goes out to Cindy and the Dahl clan. Not only did we share the same first name, but we had so much in common. I will miss him dearly and know he put up a good fight. Rest in Peace, Peter as I will always think of you when I have a bocce ball in my hand or on my boat. Let me know if they give you a hard time up there.

Peter was a true professional and an excellent Manager at Citytrust. He always had a smile on his face and shared his humor with us even during the most challenging times. He often spoke of his family and what a blessed life they shared. May the fond memories they have of Peter be a comfort to them at this time.

Peter was a lifelong friend with whom we shared so very many happy memories. He and Cindy were a wonderful, special component of our social and tennis life. I will always remember him for the kind, gentle and caring personality that he inherited from his Parents and Grandparents whom I also had the pleasure of knowing. With whom will I now reminisce about all the great cultural icons of Stratford that he and I knew so well? Hail and farewell, Good Friend!
