Peter J. Potak, age 89 of Milford, beloved husband of the late Theresa Girard Potak, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in Milford Hospital. Peter, a U.S. Army Veteran was born in Stratford to the late Andrew and Mary (Strich) Potok and has been a life long area resident. He was a retired plant manager for Allison-Campbell Company of Shelton. Peter will be remembered as a hard working and selfless person, he was a true role model for his family. He enjoyed collecting cans and bottles for recycling. Survivors include his beloved daughter, Gail Trez and her husband Jack of Milford, 4 cherished grandchildren, Jonathan Trez, Jillian Medina and her husband Marc, Jennifer McGrath and her husband Timothy, and Matthew Potak and his wife Donna, 9 great-grandchildren, Jayton and Kendall Trez, Cameron and Brianna Medina, Siena and Kinsley McGrath, and Bryce, Elijah, and Nora Potak, a brother, Nicholas Potok of Stratford, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, Peter was pre-deceased by his beloved son Gary, brothers, Andrew, Joseph, Thomas, and Paul, and sisters, Marie Kortak, and Helen Dale. Friends may call on Monday, March 6th from 10:30-11 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home 50 Paradise Green Place Stratford. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford.
