Robert R. "Bob" Potak

Robert R. "Bob" Potak, age 70, of Strongsville Ohio (born Plymouth Pennsylvania) passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023 following a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Cherished husband of 49 years to Sandy (nee Tartaglia); beloved father of Robert L. "Bobby" (Elizabeth); loving grandfather of Anna, Sara, Laura, and Ryan; dearest brother of Theresa Schultz (Tom), George II, "Butch" (Rosemary), Albert (deceased) (Linda), Mary Byczek (Rick) and Joseph; dearest brother-in-law of Diane Harris (nee Tartaglia) and Tony Tartaglia (Stacey); and dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his brother, Bob was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen (nee Dorak) Potak.
A man always dedicated to providing for his family, Bob had worked as a materials handler in the frozen foods department at Seaway Foods, which later became Riser Foods. He was employed there for 17 years, before he had to retire due to symptoms brought on from MS.
He attended Grace Church in Middleburg Heights and had enjoyed gardening, home improvement projects, and watching the Cleveland sports teams. When he could no longer handle physical work, he found contentment hanging out in the garage or poolside with family and friends while getting his yearly tan.
Despite his MS diagnosis and eventual confinement to a wheelchair, Bob remained active, even participating in the Walk for MS with his family as much as he could, where they became known as "Bob's Brigade".
He was dedicated to his family and found joy in participating in all his grandchildren's activities.
Despite the challenges he faced, Bob was never known to be a complainer. Instead, he was best known for his positive attitude, his sense of humor, and joking around with everyone.

Family will receive friends from 2:00pm through the time of the funeral service that begins at 4:30, Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Busch Funeral Home, 7501 Ridge Rd., Parma, OH 44129.
