Mr.Lund was the first Principal that I taught under at Milford High School in 1972. I was a newly hired Art Teacher thanks to Mr. Lund. I was assigned a Ceramic Class of 28 students and the Art director forgot to order me clay. Mr. Dodd one of the other art teachers took me out and we bought powdered clay, garbage cans, and baseball bats and made clay for my class. When Mr. Lund found out about our adventure he put checks in our mail boxes to cover our costs, what a great man! Mr. Lund always had our backs.I pray for God's comfort and peace for the Lund family.

Dear Lee (and June),
I am so sorry for your loss. The memories of the both of you, your Father and your family mean so much to me. 'Mr. Lund' (never "Pug" to me) was always more than a coach or Vice Principle. I remember skipping school one Friday and going up to the Boston Garden to the attend the Regional High School Basketball Tournament. Sitting in the audience cheering on some team and turning around to see sitting two rows behind me was Mr. Lund.
Come Monday morning, first period (Home Room), over the P.A. comes the dreaded command "Dan Coviello, report to Mr. Lund's office." He politely ask about some of the games he had missed and when I had finished he said "By the way, your suspended."
Nicest suspension I ever got. Love you Lee, I'm sorry I can't be there for you.

Mr. Lund was MHS Principal when I attended 1969-72. I knew that his gruff exterior contained a heart of gold, and his professionalism was unmatched. My step-mother's first husband, the late Robert Pinco, was a Science teacher at MHS in the early 1960s, and I know both he and my step-mom, Sybil (Pinco) Lisansky, were very fond of Roy. I send heartfelt condolences on her behalf, as well as my step-sister, Susan Pinco (MHS '71), and myself. Roy Lund was a good man, who served his country and his community with honor and compassion, and had a positive effect on thousands of young lives. RIP.

"Mr. Lund" was Assistant Principal during my years attending MHS and I remember him very well. "Mr. Lund" was always well liked and highly respected by the students and faculty. Sincere condolences to his family and many friends.
