10 Years. Where did the time go. I think of you every day and miss you. I had such a great childhood and because of you have passed that on to my children. Our family continues and celebrates much joy because of you. You would be so proud of your boys. Your little guy is now a professional. You would love to see all of your great grandchildren. They are adorable. I know you are smiling down on us and helping us. We all miss you very much. I love you always!

Hi Ray: We haven't visited for a while. Deb and I still think of you and Marge all the time. When Mat and Sandy came down for the wedding they gave us a great gift. A gravy bowl that you and Marge used for the holidays. It makes a great candy dish and keeps both of you in our thoughts all the time. I guess you know that we lost Larry to cancer in November. I have a new grandson who arrived in May. What a chunk-a-butt he is and has that Gerber smile. He'd win both your hearts in a moment. He was 8 months old yesterday and weighs almost 24 lbs and you know the best thing is, I get to spend a lot of time with him. I'm going to have to teach him to love pasta garlic and oil with anchovies. Got to keep that tradition going. Your in our thought always.

Hey Grandpa,
I know that i haven't talked to you in a few years i kno wthat a few times on my motorcycle you were there to help me out in some situations. I gave that up i have a little boy now who will be a year old on May 8th. He is a big boy and i think you would be proud. He doesn't have the Italian look but it's ok. He looks like his daddy. We miss you and love you. I wish you could have met my husband. I think that you and him would have gotten along great.

As children, we can't comprehend or fully realize the meaning of our father's love - how kind he is, how wise.
It seems we take for granted sacrifices made each day, and seldom give a thought to all the joy he brings our way.
And yet we learn, as time goes by,
his love has greater worth than any other treasure we could ever have on earth.
I can't believe it is 5 years ago. I think of you every day.
I miss you.
You will be forever in my heart.

GIANTS!!! They did it! I think you helped them catch that last touchdown.
January 21, 2008
Well, the Giants did it. You would not have been happy with the end of the game - I could picture you banging your fist on the chair and hollering at how stupid they were. However, you would have been thrilled with the overtime. On to the superbowl.

Hey Ray, I was sitting here the other night and looking over this again, tears running of course. I had to close out and try again.
This was supposed to be a busy week for us. Nicki was supposed to be married this Saturday, but all things are subject to change. Her fiance changed his mind. Nicki got her motorcyle license (like mother like daughter) and bought a bike. Now I have new worries. It never changes does it? How do you feel about being a passenger on the back of her bike?
We miss you. Out of sight out of mind???? I don't think so.
Love ya,
Deb
P.S... I've had to back off of sweets...getting older you know.

Ray: Just wanted to let you we've been thinking about you again. A few weeks back we were watching the play off game between New England and the Colts. All I kept saying to Deb was I bet Ray has a front row seat on the 50 yard line. I could picture you cheering on New England. Deb and I miss you. Hope we get to see Marge before this year goes by.

Gramp,
How can i explain this?? Your my best friend. The person i would turn to if i needed something. You were there when i was born and there for everything i did. you where there for my first step. You held me when i would cry. You even put my arm back into place when mom dislocated it. you change my dipers. My first baseball game. even if i never hit the ball you cheer me on. You came to watch me play basketball, and you where the loudest person in the place. It was like we were at a pro game, you yell at the ref's to open there eyes.
The best was the night i called you and told you i was engage. You were the only one to beleive me. You opened your arms to Lee like she was one of your own grandchild, and that was special to me. That was even special to her..
Well i know you'll be with me in spirit. so the night i get married you better be ready to do the "Chicken Dance".
Heres alittle poem for you:
Death is nothing at all, it does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name.Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into you tone. Wear no force airof sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be Spoken without and effort, without a ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuty. What is this death but a unadvailable accident? Why should i be out of mind because im out of sight? I am but waiting for you , for and interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well.

Sherie and Denis: We were heartbroken to hear of Sherie's father's death. One wound hasn't healed before another is thrust upon us. Sal was like a second grandfather to my children. He always had a kind word for them and accepted them as his own. We were all welcome to share in your families traditions, and we did . . . there were many, and they were meaningful. Whenever I think of Memorial Day, I think of the many celebrations enjoyed at your parent's home. The memories that your Dad created for his/our family will remain in our hearts forever.

Ray we will surely miss you. Marge, I can not express how much we (Deb, Jonathan, Nicki and myself) will miss Ray. Although we live 900 miles away, Marge, You and Ray were in our thoughts and hearts constantly. At least once a week Deb and I ask each other, “when will we be able to make a trip to Connecticut to visit with ray and Marge. Our Nicki and Jon (your adopted grandchildren often ask when are we going to get to visit grandpa and grandma Varrone. We still talk about our first visit to Connecticut as a family and how you welcomed my family into your home and we enjoyed our first holiday together, all crowded into your dinning room, sitting shoulder to shoulder and having the time of our life, how you teased Deb about how many deserts she could put away and making all of us feel like we were a special part of your family.
