Sean Cavanagh Obituary

Sean Cavanagh
September 2, 1964 - November 14, 2025
It is with the deepest sadness that we announce that Sean Cavanagh, 61, of Dunedin, FL, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025.
Born in Washington D.C. to Francis and Carmelina (née Conderato) Cavanagh, he was raised in Easton, Connecticut, and would eventually settle in New Jersey before retiring to Florida. Sean graduated from Joel Barlow High School in 1982 and Boston College in 1986 with a bachelor's degree in finance. He later attended University of Bridgeport for an MBA. Sean worked for Metlife for over 20 years and later started a second career as a Paralegal.
Sean was kind-hearted and deeply intelligent, bringing good humor and wisdom to all who knew him. Throughout his life, he became an active member of his community, coaching numerous soccer and basketball teams. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers and college football fan, Sean held a deep love of sports and shared this passion with others. His intelligence was complemented by creativity, leading to a love of literature and art that he shared with his loved ones. With a great sense of humor, Sean brought a smile to everyone he met, brightening the lives of everyone around him especially his beloved family.
He is survived by wife Michelle (née Rockeman) Cavanagh; daughters, Stephanie and Lindsay Cavanagh; stepson, Jon Biancalana; mother, Carmelina Cavanagh; father, Francis Cavanagh; siblings, James Cavanagh (Leslie), Bettina Cavanagh Grob (Michael) and Victoria Sinnicki (William); nieces, Deirdre, Emily, Isabel, Libby, and Natalie, and nephews, Christian, William, Daniel, and Brian.
