He is the beloved husband of Doris (Ritsul) Francini for the past 60 years. He has lived in Stratford for the past 35 years, and since his retirement, North Palm Beach, Fla. for the past 25 years. Fuzzy was born in Derby on August 18, 1915, and was the son of the late Pio and Estirina Francini. He grew up in Derby where he graduated Derby High School. In 1990, he establishes a nursing endowment at the St. Vincent Medical Center that provided scholarships and grants to the nurses. In 1987, Fuzzy received the first Golden Tee Award from the Cardinal Sheehan Center for his humanitarian work in the area. In his private life, Fuzzy was an avid golfer for more than 50 years. Along the way, he made six holes-in-ones while belonging to Mill River Country Club, Race Brook Country Club, Loxahatchee Country Club, and Old Marsh Country Club. Dear Mrs. Francini,
May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. I've only met him and you a few times, but my parents talked of the two of you often with much love and friendship.

Hi Doris , So sorry to hear about Fuzzy's passing. He will be missed very much. I feel so bad that I wasn't able to speak to him the last few times I called because of his hearing. You both were so kind and loving to both Steve and I . I will never forget how you both helped me through my time of trouble during my divorce. I was telling mom just the other day that I would like to go and see you, but I felt that it would be more of a hindrance with him being so sick. The Bible holds that wonderful hope of the resurrection in John 5:28 where Jesus stated "Do not marvel at this because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgement" and we know he was a good man. Doris, if there is anything I can do from this end, do not hesitate to let me know. We will be glad to help in any way we can. We love you very much and you are in our prayers.
