Stella Switter Obituary

SWITTER Stella Switter, age 94, of Norwalk, wife of the late Joseph Switter, died on Monday, February 23, 2004. Born in Bridgeport, she was a Westport resident for more than 40 years before moving to Norwalk almost 30 years ago. Mrs. Switter was a member of the Greenfield Grange and the Norwalk Senior Center. She is survived by two sons, Donald J. Switter of Westport, and James Switter of Rindge, N.H.; a daughter, Phyllis Ann Fox of Unicoi, Tenn.; a brother, John Klimaszewski of Stratford; a sister, Irene Grzybala of Stratford; four grandchildren, Ora and Rama Switter and Connor and Hannah Fox; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a sister, Helen Flathers. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the Fairfield Funeral Home of Edmund W. Dougiello, 36 South Pine Creek Road, and at 10 a.m. in St. Luke Church in Westport, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery in Westport. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.. Contributions may be made in Mrs. Switter's memory to the Greenfield Hill Grange, 1873 Hillside Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.
