W. George Little

LITTLE W. George Little, age 64, of Stratford, husband of the late Sonia Arvinette Little, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 11, 2012. George was born and raised in Jamaica and received his engineering degrees in Europe, where he met Sonia. He was employed as an electronic engineer for 24 years at Ultra Electronic Measurement Systems, Inc. in Wallingford and also an independent business owner of Amway Global. George embodied the role of a selfless servant and was very involved in many ministries, most especially the prison ministry where he and Sonia visited countless inmates to pray and provide counsel. He was a devoted and faithful parishioner of the St. James Community of Faith and the Men's Cursillo. George was a loving mentor to many and his kindness, encouragement and acceptance of all will be his legacy. He is survived by three loving children, Lowanda Michel and her husband, Delva, of Stratford, Warren Little of Stamford and his companion, Emily Bajko and Gareth Little of Stratford; two beloved grandchildren, Warren Jeremy Little and Maylene Aubrie Michel; also survived by many in-laws and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Melvena Howell. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Rev. Thomas Lynch on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 10:30 am DIRECTLY at St. James Church. Interment will follow at Mountain Grove of Easton Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 8 pm at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford.
