William M. Pasternak, age 66, of Westport, entered into eternal life on Sunday, January 10, 2016 at the Westport Rehabilitation Complex. Born in Norwalk to the late Andrew and Mary Evans Pasternak, William had been a lifelong Westport resident and was a graduate of Staples High School where he played the trumpet in the school band. He went on to be employed by the US Postal Service in Westport and later Weston before retiring in 2010 after many years of dedicated service. Bill enjoyed music, biking, hiking, and collecting stamps and coins. A loving and caring person, Bill spent many hours visiting the sick in Norwalk Hospital. His memory will lovingly be remembered by his two sisters and brother, Frances H. McIntyre, of N. Charleston, SC, Helen A. Newcomb, of San Antonio, TX, and Dexter J. Pasternak, of Hockessin, DE; and twelve nieces, nephews, and their extended families. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by a brother, David H. Pasternak. A memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM at St. Luke's Parish, 49 Turkey Hill Road North, Westport, CT 06880. Interment will follow at Assumption Greens Farms Cemetery, Westport. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
