William Tielert Obituary

TIELERT William O. Tielert, 81, of Sebring, Florida, previous long time resident of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Anne M. Tielert (nee Klisenbauer) passed away in his sleep Friday, February 18, 2011. Born on April 18, 1930 in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Otto and Helen Tielert (nee Zrallack). Bill graduated from Warren Harding High School in 1948 and the University of Bridgeport, Brideport, in 1952 where he excelled in swimming and basketball. He went onto to enjoy golf and was a former member of the Bronson Country Club. He was a U.S. Army veteran and spent many years in the Cablevision industry, as well as Manager of the Brideport, office of The Travelers Insurance Company. Survivors include a son, Christopher Tielert of Sebring, Florida and a daughter, Susan Tielert of San Jose, California. Inurnment at Gate of Heaven cemetery in Trumbull, will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
