Julie Fiehler Obituary
Julie Lynn Fiehler, 52, of Central City, Neb. died Dec. 11, 2021, at Merrick Medical Center in Central City.
Julie was born Dec. 28, 1968 in Mullen to Marvin and Freda (Saner) Fiehler.
Julie and her family lived on the Dunning Ranch when she was young with her grandparents, Pearl and Jeanette Saner, while her dad worked several jobs. She graduated in 1987 at the top of her class from Sandhills High School in Dunning.
After graduating, she moved to New Jersey to be a nanny for eight months. After her venture, she moved back to Nebraska to live with her sister, Connie, in Broken Bow and found work at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. In 1997, she moved and resided in Central City at C.C Live where she found work and a long-lasting friendship with Patsy Hayden.
Julie loved the arts and was quite the artist herself, whether she was drawing, crafting, listening to 80's rock or baking, she always found joy through her many hobbies.
Julie was so gifted in the arts that she had drawn a portrait of Ronald Reagan that won the highest honor in multiple contests.
She was a collector of wolves and porcelain dolls and a lover of board games, movies, and coffee. If she were not found crafting, she could be found sitting in the sun which was her favorite place to be.
Halloween was one of her favorite holidays as she could dress up and celebrate with her friends. She was always a quiet person but had a great sense of humor.
Growing up her sister, Michelle, and Julie were very close and played a lot of different games and toys together. They shared Saturday mornings watching cartoons and listening to music. Julie was a protector of her little sister. She was always thinking of others. Her big heart and kind personality will be missed dearly by those who were close to her.
Julie is survived by her brother, David Moore, of Loup City; and sisters Connie Beck of Litchfield and Michelle (Chad) Groves of Kearney.
She was preceded in death by her parents Marvin Fiehler and Freda (Saner) Fiehler; and grandparents Pearl and Jeanette (Wilson) Saner.
The family asks that flowers be delivered to The Village.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday Jan. 15 at The Village in Kearney, 1920 A Avenue, with Hunter Goldsby officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to service. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
