U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and the Korean War. Husband of the late Julia nee Melei. Father of Victor A. (Judy) DeGuilio and Cecile (Robert) Carstensen. Grandfather of Dana and Jeffrey (Brooke) DeGuilio, Bridget and Brian Carstensen. Great grandfather of Sophia DeGuilio. Brother of the late Sam, Fred "5/8" and Louis "Red" Mele, Genesio "Max" DeGuilio and Thomas DeGiulio. Beloved uncle and dear friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (U.S. Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights on Wednesday April 8th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. I knew Vic through business when we called on him at Sibley Lumber. Vic was a class guy who I not only sold to, but learned from over the years. May he rest in peace.
