Roy is survived by his sisters; Verna Martinez, LaVerda (Emmett) Martinez, and LaVerna (Joe) Martinez; brothers, Calvin (Ava) Martinez and Ronnie (Sharon) Martinez; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous relatives.
A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Cope Memorial Chapel, 458 Road 6100 in Kirtland. Burial will follow at the Memory Gardens Cemetery, 6917 E. Main St. in Farmington.
Roy's care is entrusted to Cope Memorial Chapel of Kirtland, 458 Road 6100, 505-598-9636. Those who wish to express their condolences may do so at serenityandcompany.com.

It is inevitable to feel sad when a relative or a close friend departs from this world. The death of a loved one always causes all affected by the loss to question many things, analyze in depth the true meaning of life, among other things. It is also inevitable that we remember all the times we spent and growing up with Roy. Remember that everything we know is energy and as such is it not destroyed, it just changes shape. Roy is now free energy and so he is always with you and in everything you see, is the gentle breeze that touches your face, and the sunshine that warms your mind, body and soul Our deepest sympathy to your family and you are in our prayers for comfort and strength.
