Robert Jason Lukin

07/20/1975 - 03/24/2022 Robbie Lukin was born to Bobby and Barbara Lukin and raised in San Pedro, California. Robbie passed after a year and a half battle with Ewing's Sarcoma. Robbie is survived by the love of his life ~ Jamie, his boys Chase (19) and Ty (17); his mother Barbara Lukin; sisters Tuesdae and Samantha; father-in-law George Wieczorek (Cathy); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert (Bobby) Lukin, and his mother-in-law Marie Wieczorek. Robbie graduated from San Pedro High School in 1993 and played second base on the varsity baseball team. He was thrilled to play on the 1992 championship team at Dodger Stadium. He was a proud member of the ILWU, following in his father's footsteps as a Local 13 Longshoreman then transferring to Local 63 as a Marine Clerk. He worked as a steady Chief Supervisor / Super Cargo at M‘rsk for the past 16 years. His passion was his boys. Supporting their baseball endeavors was what he loved the most. He also enjoyed travel, watching motocross, and spending time with his extended baseball families. Robbie was a husband, father, son, coach and friend to many. Robbie was 46 years old and taken far too soon. He will be missed dearly. The Lukin family will get through this difficult time knowing Robbie is already reunited with his father Bobby and his mother-in-law Marie. They are humbled by the many expressions of the positive impact Robbie made on so many people far and wide. The Lukin family would like to express their deep gratitude to their family, friends, the ILWU, Mary Star High School, UCLA Medical Team, and the San Pedro community for all of the love, support, prayers, and friendship. Viewing will be at McNerney's Mortuary in San Pedro, on April 4th from 4 - 8 PM. Funeral services will be on April 5th at 10:30 AM at Mary Star of the Sea Church in San Pedro. A celebration of Robbie's life will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in the Madeo Room following the burial at Green Hills. All are welcome .
