Taimi Malumaleumu Obituary

Malumaleumu, Jr., Taimi T.
Of Torrance, entered God's Kingdom on Tuesday, May 30, 2006. He was born on May 5, 1932 in Pago Pago, American Samoa. Taimi is survived by daughters, Deborah Pato and Charlene Koria (Tanielu); sons, Jeremiah Malumaleumu and Dennis Malumaleumu (Betty); 7 grandchildren, Seruia Malumaleumu, Eileen Malumaleumu, Jared Pato, Kazmyra Malumaleumu, Deborah Koria, Perelini Koria and Siobahn Malumaleumu; 3 great-grandchildren, Janelle Pato, Atimalala Malumaleumu Milo and West Pato; and sisters, Adeline Ahmu, Fiafia Devoux and Arasi Johnson. Taimi was married to the late Eileen McMoore Malumaleumu of Utulei, American Samoa. He served 22 years and retired with the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1973. He also served 20 years and retired with the Federal Bureau of Prisons from 1973 to 1993. Taimi was an active member and deacon of the United Samoan Church of Carson. Family service will be held on Saturday, June 10th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Green Hills Memorial Park Chapel. The Wake will take place on Sunday, June 11th at 3:00 PM at the United Samoan Church, 600 E. Double Street, Carson, CA 90745. Final services for Taimi will be on Monday, June 12th at 10:00 AM at the United Samoan Church. Interment will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park.
