Patricia Holland Carney

Patricia Holland Carney passed away peacefully in her home in Lafayette CO on July 10th at the age of 67. Born June 9, 1956 in Teaneck, NJ to Eugene Peter Holland and Cornelia Steinert Holland. She found her love of the sun and outdoors growing up on the Jersey shore with 5 siblings, before moving to Colorado in 1974. Paddy never lost her witty, hard headed, funny personality and the gift to make others laugh. She always had to have the #1 Halloween costume and if you asked her, she never lost that contest. She found joy in the Colorado mountains in the winter and the Boulder Reservoir and gardening in the summertime. She felt free and calm when able to take a bike ride and always said she loved the wind blowing back her hair. She never saw a mirror that she didn't like. She had a touch for interior decorating that was God given and something that cannot be taught. Painting, reading, and teaching her only granddaughter, Emmery, about Marry Poppins and Annie was a new goal in life. Her feel for people was tremendous as she always seemed to know when others around her needed a shoulder to lean on. Being a mother brought her the utmost joy and meaning in her life, and as she embraced all of life's experiences, she always kept close her love of her family. Paddy was a fighter, a lover, a friend, a caregiver, a teacher, a kind heart, a warm smile, a gentle hug, and an inspiration to all who knew her. Paddy is survived by her children, Hunter Kovalski and his wife, Margo; Kale Kovalski and his wife Erin and their daughter Emmery; and her youngest son, Jared Kovalski; Five siblings; Kate Holland, Peter Holland, Jim Holland, Liz Komar and Greg Holland; and Eleven nieces and nephews The family is currently working on scheduling the memorial service.
