Services for Alfreda "Joan" Hudson, 78, are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at McPeters Inc. Funeral Directors with burial at Dogwood Cemetery.
Visitation is Wednesday from 5 to p.m. and Thursday from 1 p.m. until the service
Mrs. Hudson died Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born Nov. 28, 1943, in Alcorn County to the late William Alfred and Rudy Nash. She was a longtime member of New Liberty Baptist Church where she taught her adult Sunday school class, sang in the choir and help with VBS. She was retired from ITT Technical Institute, she enjoyed working puzzles, coloring, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends.
Survivors are her son, Brian (Beth) Hudson; daughter Phyllis (Todd) Murphy; her grandchildren, Matt Murphy, Meredith Murphy, Brooke Hudson, Brady Hudson; her great-granddaughter, Josie; her sisters, Linda Parker, Nelda Parker, Shirley Woodruff, Jane Hudson; her brother, Tim Nash; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Neil Hudson; her parents, William Alfred and Rudy Nash; and her brother, Bill Nash.
Pallbearers are Matt Murphy, Brady Hudson, Jerod Bronson, Mike Nash, Mike Johnson, and Greg Adams.
Bro. Ed Kennedy and Bro. Rayburn Richardson will officiate the service.
