Daniel E. Wise, 67, of Scottdale, passed away late Thursday evening, Oct. 21, 2021, at Excela Health Hospital, Latrobe.
He was born Feb. 8, 1954, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of the late Robert E. "Babe" and Nellie C. Sandzimier Wise, who died April 23, 1979 and Oct. 28, 2002, respectively.
Danny was a graduate of Southmoreland High School Class of 1972, where he was a member of the track team. He also attended Allegheny Community College where he also participated on the track team. After college, Danny enjoyed going to track meets as a spectator and made many friends with the teams at Southmoreland.
Danny then became very involved in the family restaurant, "Wises Restaurant," in Scottdale, where he was involved in the day-today operations.
He was employed by Bartlett Nuclear, Plymouth, Mass. with 15 years of service.
He traveled often with his son, Logan, to watch the trains in Lancaster and numerous local areas. Danny enjoyed listening to music, watching westerns and old movies in his free time.
Danny loved everybody and he was loved in return.
Danny is gone from our lives, but will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his children: Nicole Bard of Oregon and Logan Craig of Scottdale; and the love of Danny's life, Leisa Craig, Logan's mom, of Scottdale; his siblings: Mary Catherine
LeGrande and husband, Larry, of Elkton, Md.; James R. Wise and Sue of Oakdale, Pa.; Elizabeth A. Funk and husband, Ron, of Mt. Pleasant; and a number of beloved nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Danny was a good childhood friend. My wife and I will miss sitting with him at the restaurant when we stopped in. He always made a point to come and talk to us. Rest in Peace!
