Our beloved Anthony Richard Andrade, 33, died during a heroic act Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012. He was born to Sara and Richard Andrade of Yolo on June 24, 1978. He proudly attended Laugenour Elementary School, Douglass Junior High and graduated in 1996 from Woodland High School. After graduation, Anthony lived in Hayward and attended CSU Hayward, where he pledged with Delta Chi Fraternity.

Anthony was a self-employed massage therapist and worked in food service at Denny's, Ruby Tuesdays, and on a Hawaiian tour cruise ship. He was blessed through his great friends and got to visit places throughout the United States, Europe, the Bahamas, Hawaii and Mexico. He even lived in New York City for a short time.

Anthony was a loving, kind, intelligent, hilarious, vibrant, inspiring, soulful and a peacemaker. He showed love to his friends and family through hugs, quirky nicknames and random visits.

Anthony is survived by his parents, Sara and Richard Andrade; sisters, Marcella Fitzgerald, Elena Andrade, Suzanne Andrade; brother, Arturo Andrade and wife Maria Barboza; nephews, Magnus Fitzgerald, Joaquin Hendrickson, Richard Cassius Andrade, Angel Cervantes, Peter Gomez, Mark Gomez, Gabriel Gomez; nieces, Sara Fitzgerald, Natalia Andrade, and Felicia Gomez. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jose and Maria Andrade; aunt Frances, and uncles Rafael Lemus, Andrew Andrade, and Louie Andrade Sr.

His presence will never be forgotten. We love you. And as he would say, "RICH."

A celebration of life is scheduled for 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 3, at Woodland United Fellowship, 240 N. West St. The Woodland Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

I met Anthony when he lived with my granddaughter, Tabitha Long. He was such a great guy. While I didn't know him well, all of the times I saw him were always fun and made me want to see him more. He will live in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him. I'm not sure if he knew my name as I was Grandma.

Aww Anthony Glamazon...my heart aches so for you. I wish, I wish, I wish that you were still here. I wish that the accident never happened, I wish that you and Brooklyn survived...I wish a lot of things but mostly, I wish I could see your face again and get the Glamazon hug.
