Keith Irving Gibson

1955 - 2021

RHINEBECK– Keith Irving Gibson, 65, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Rhinebeck on March 13, 2021. Keith was a giant of a man with a generous heart. He was always doing something for someone else; he enjoyed his family and having family and friend get togethers. He loved to work. For most of his life he was a truck driver, and he was an expert truck driver. For many years he worked for his best friend Tom LeGrand, however more recently he drove for ACS Paving. Keith also owned Keith Gibson Logging. When he wasn’t working he could be found at Lebanon Valley leading Gibson Racing Team Crew with his daughter Lisa and nephew Bobby Gibson, Jr. Keith was a former member of Hillside Fire Company and had been a bowler for many years. Born July 10, 1955 at St. Francis Hospital, he was the son of Matthew S. and Marjorie M. (Lee) Gibson, Sr. He grew up in Hyde Park and graduated from Roosevelt High School.Keith is survived by his children Lisa M. Brandt, and her husband Matthew, and K. Bradley Gibson, and his wife Kayla; two grandchildren, Emma and Cole Gibson; and the love of his life Linda M. Wiley and her son Jarvis. Also surviving are his siblings, Betty (Butch) VanEchaute, Roberta (Ken) O’Neil, Matthew S. (Sharon) Gibson, Jr., William A. (Lynnette) Gibson, Sr., James R. (Lori) Gibson, Sr., Wayne T. (Deborah) Gibson, Richard G. Gibson, Sr., Gloria ‘Jean’ (James) Lyons, and Tammy M. (Michael) Caminiti; his former wife Vicki Dugliss; and many nieces, nephews, friends and his furry friends Maggie, Charlie, Peanut and Hope. He was predeceased by his parents and four siblings, Robert C. Gibson, Sr., Marjorie L. Rose, Carol McGraw and Kathy Gibson. Calling hours are Thursday, March 18th, 4:00 – 7:00 PM, at the Dapson-Chestney Funeral Home, 51 W. Market St., Rhinebeck. Graveside Services will be Friday, 11:00 AM, at the Union Cemetery, 1076 Violet Ave., Hyde Park.
