Beatrice F. "Bea" Mizerak

Beatrice "Bea" F. Mizerak 97, formerly of Junction Road, Town of Esperance, NY, passed away Sunday, March 26th at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center after a long and fruitful life. Bea was born August 25, 1925, in Mount Vision, NY, a daughter of Ossian and Vera Wilber (Smith) Field. She graduated from Cherry Valley High School and later, St. Rose College. She was a Registered Nurse who when on to become a certified Nurse Anesthetist and was head of the Anesthesia Department at Albany Memorial Hospital, retiring at the age of 79. She also earned her certification as a Hypnotherapist and was a leader in her fields of interest. Bea operated her own business (BFM Associates) doing leadership seminars. She was an active member of the BPW of Cobleskill. All the neighborhood bumps and bruises found their way to her door. She always had the time to care for them and patch them up again.

She married Daniel Mizerak on October 27, 1944. He predeceased her on July 19, 1994. Survivors include her children: Eileen M. Leland (Bruce) of New Castle, CO, Wayne D. Mizerak (Carol) of Averill Park, and Brian J. Mizerak (Kim) of Kingston, 2 grandchildren; Lisa Barber (Eric) and Tim Mizerak (Rose), 2 great-grandsons: Mason and Landon, her 4 nieces and nephews along with her "adopted families" which include the Compters, the Natuschs, and Pauline Putman (and her family). Besides her husband, Bea was predeceased by her longtime companion, Robert Natusch, Sr.

A period of visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday, April 3rd at the Langan Funeral Home, 327 Main Street, Schoharie followed by a memorial service with Pastor Colleen Quirion from Christ The Shephard Lutheran Church officiating.
