Beverly B. Granger

Beverly B. Granger, 91, passed away on Thursday October 7, 2021 at her home. She was a graduate of William Smith College and in addition to being a dedicated wife and mother of four, she worked professionally as a Senior Examiner and Supervisor for the New York State Department of Labor, Unemployment Division. On September 5, 1953, she married Bernard D. Granger, who was later ordained as an Episcopal priest. She was very active in various church activities throughout the years, including singing in the choir, sharing her talents on the flower and altar guilds and serving on the vestry. She was passionate about numbers and finances and was the treasurer at Christ Episcopal Church, Ballston Spa for 20 years, until 2020. Beverly loved to travel and was an avid gardener and bridge player. She had many treasured friends who filled her life with purpose and joy. She had a zealous interest in national and world events, and she was a great fan of the Buffalo Bills and the NY Yankees. Above all, Beverly cherished her family, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was predeceased in 2003 by her husband of 50 years, her parents and a sister and a brother. She is survived by her four children, Stephen Granger and his wife Michelle of Greenfield, Susan Granger of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Catherine Walroth and her husband Scott of Niskayuna, and Elizabeth Kraft and her husband Robert of Winston-Salem, N.C.; eight grandchildren, Amanda Shen and her husband Kevin, Sarah Gluchacki and her husband Shawn, Mary Sweet and her husband Randy, Julie and Seth Granger, Madeline, Natalie and Thomas Kraft; and four great grandchildren, Conrad and Miles Sweet and Evan and Cameron Gluchacki. Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, October 11 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, West High Street, Ballston Spa. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 12 at the church. The family requests facemasks to be worn for the calling hours and the funeral. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christ Episcopal Church Organ Renovation Fund (15 West High Street, Ballston Spa, NY 12020), the Episcopal Relief and Development Fund (815 Second Ave, NY, NY 10017), The American Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.
