To The Provost Family,
My family was so sorry to hear of your loss. A mother is a VERY solid figure in a family, at this point I can't even fathom your loss. Your Mom was a very good friend of ours, Mary Glenning. Jane Tyrell called my Mom today about your Mom. The alumni from SPH nursing were very close. In reading your Mom's obit about her love of nursing and being a proud WWII nurse, I told my Mom that sounded just like someone else I knew, and she knew I was talking about her. They were a tight group. You are in our prayers.
"May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you
In the palm of his hand."

Fr. John and Family,
My mother called me at work yesterday to notify me of Kay's passing. Living in the Washington DC area, I often visit Arlington Cemetary with visitors and sometimes just by myself. One of the "must see" memorials, is the "Women in the Military Memorial". My visits will be extra special because I feel honored to say that I knew "Lieutenant Kay"...she will be remembered at this beautiful memorial and in our hearts forever.
The entire Acker family have you in our thoughts and prayers.
