Condolences from our family to Fred's. In the 20+ years I knew Fred, he could always be counted on for a kind word. In recent years he took the time to visit with my daughter working at the Schenectady Greenmarket on Sunday mornings, even teaching her a few words of German. The Schenectady area has lost one of its most tireless and effective promoters. We will miss him.

You were the "vase" that held our "diverse bouquet" together. It won't be the same without you.
