John Durrant

John F. Durrant III Duanesburg - John F. Durrant III, 58, passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 30, 2023. He was born in Niskayuna on October 7, 1965 and was raised in Rotterdam. He was well-known as a very active teenager with a thirst for adventure. In the early 80's, he worked as an electrician in Florida but moved back to Rotterdam after a few years. For the last 20 years, he lived in his Duanesburg home and spent much of his time listening to music, caring for his 3 cats, and riding motorcycles. He was a devoted son to his mother and enjoyed time with his family. John will be dearly remembered by his nieces and nephews for the time he spent being the fun uncle, a role which he truly embraced and cherished. He will be missed by many, including some special friends that he made throughout his life.
John is survived by his mother, Kathleen L. Durrant (Friguletto); his siblings, Lisa (William) Bunyan, Patricia Marciante, and Michael (Donna) Durrant; eight nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, John F. Durrant, Jr.
John has been privately cremated. A memorial calling hour will be held on Monday January 8th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the DeMarco Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave, Rotterdam, followed by a memorial service at 11am. Condolences can be posted at demarcostonefuneralhome.com.
