Matthew Krzykowski Obituary

Matthew R. Krzykowski, 37, of Rotterdam passed away at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 1, 2022.

If you're reading this, I hope I found some peace. No more pain, suffering, treatments, or cancer. I leave behind the love of my life, my beautiful wife Courtney A. Jensen-Krzykowski of Rotterdam. My amazing daughters Couraira A. Jensen-Krzykowski and Cerafina M. Jensen-Krzykowski.

Aside from my wife and girls I leave behind-- my mother Leslie Galusha of Rotterdam-- I love her and I pray she finds comfort in my daughters; my little brother Joshua E. Galusha, and my littlest brother Noah H. Galusha (my daughters are his personal fanclub); my father Richard A. Krzykowski, his wife Kelly and her daughters of Pleasant Valley; my in-laws also of Rotterdam, Lanny J. and Colleen Jensen whom I'll forever be grateful for; my "Poppy" Lanny Jensen of Rotterdam; so many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends of mine and Courtney's.

I join our grandmother's and other loved ones I'm predeceased by in Heaven.

I love my girls more than anything. I love traveling, Disney and was a bit of a foodie. I owned a million pairs of socks, drove my wife crazy with all my Macy's purchases, and always had an answer for why we needed what I bought. We watched Harry Potter marathons regularly.

I bowled, played basketball, even took up running when Courtney and Couraira persisted. The sea called me like it called Moana. I lived for the season of Fall, but my favorite holiday was hands down Christmas. If you didn't know October through January was meant for Hallmark and GAC movies that I watched religiously with my wife.

Summer was meant for South Carolina, Sacandaga Lake, and swimming. Road trips were something I lived for, though my favorite cities were Venice and London (only reachable by plane).

I'll miss my family most, vacations with my mom or in-laws were the best. I hope our whole family including my daughter's aunts, uncles, godparents, and cousins rally behind them for years to come. I hope my mom and in-laws continue to travel with Courtney and the girls.

All my work families at Best Buy (my people), OSC and NYSTRS-I'm lucky I had you all in my life.

Lastly, to my wife-my everything, thanks for taking care of me, advocating and being the strongest woman most know. If anyone can put the pieces back together babe-- you can.

You can find me at the beach, probably drinking something wonderful. Be good to each other and live your life the way you want. It's too short no matter how long you get.

In lieu of flowers you can make donations to my wife's newly formed nonprofit: When Life Gets Krzy, LLC. It's a cancer caretaker support organization and donations can be mailed to our home. Or donate to the St. Madeleine Sophie School. They have been amazing to myself and my family.

Always,

Matt

Probably the most personal and moving obituary I've ever read. My condolences to Matt's wife, his beautiful family, his friends and coworkers.
I was born in Rotterdam and wish I knew you. You were full of life, treasured your family, and lived to travel and called the beach your home. As I'm blessed to live and blessed to live with the beach just walking distance from me, I'll visit you when my feet hit the sand. I'll pray for your wife and children and family too. Your messages were clear I think-to love and to live. Bless all of you and all who are reading this. Let's all listen to Matt live fully and as long as we can. Peter v. Cannice and mom, Domenica I'm N Palm Beach.

I didn't know this man or his family, but I read the obituary that was written by him and thought this was absolutely beautiful and it brought tears to my eyes. I thought how lucky they are to be able to read his words over and over and know how much they were loved by him. To his wife: I've been where you are. It's okay to have bad days and it's okay to have good days. Take care of yourself. Sending prayers and hugs.

I did not know this man or his family. I read the obituary and thought how lucky they are to be able to read his words over and over and know how much they were loved by him. What a courageous act to make sure that people knew how he felt. My condolences to all. I'm sure that was not easy to write, but what a beautiful tribute to his family. May he rest in peace.

He sounds like he was quite the guy. Did not know him but writing his own obit I pray gives his wife and daughters some peace. God speed sir. You ran the good race and left the world a better place with your daughters. Your wife's got this. But you knew that

I wish I had known him.

He is now with God, but he leaves behind, I´m sure, a beautiful family.

I also did not know Matt, however after reading his obituary, I'm certain Courtney, Couraira and Cerafina have a guardian angel, as well as the rest of his extended family and friends. I'm also confident that God will hold this great man in the palm of his hands. God Bless and may he Rest in Peace.
