Wayne J. Gentile

Wayne J. Gentile, 67, passed away at home in Rotterdam on Thursday morning June 10 surrounded by his family. Born in Schenectady, Wayne was the son of the late Joseph and Vivian (Hunt) Gentile. A 1971 graduate of the former Draper High School, Wayne worked as a mason for over 40 years at Clifford Quay Construction in Rotterdam. He was a member and Sergeant at Arms with the Woodlawn Sportsman's Club, a member of the Ridge Runner Hunting Club and a Representative of the Schenectady County Conservation Council. Beside his parents, Wayne was also predeceased by his sister Kathleen Gentile and brother Sean Gentile. Wayne is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Patricia A. (James) Gentile who he married in1985, his children, Tara M. Gentile of Rotterdam, Christopher S. Gentile of Troy and Nicole L. Gentile of Latham, his brothers Joseph Gentile (Gail) and Timothy Gentile (Theresa) both of Rotterdam and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Wayne's life will be held on Wednesday June 16, 2021 at 12 p.m. at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY. A visitation for family and friends will precede the services from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Park in Colonie, NY.
