Donald Demski Obituary
Donald R. Demski, age 91, of Arlington Heights, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Don was born in Chicago on November 10, 1932.
Don is survived by Marlene, his wife of 60 years; children, Julie Castin (Andy) of Jupiter, FL, Mary Kay Hanlon (Tim) of Lake Forest, IL and Steven Demski of Austin, TX; and grandchildren. Anna, Nicola, Matthew, Abby and Lucy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and Edward Demski; and older brother, Edward Demski, Jr.
Visitation will be held at the Glueckert Funeral Home in Arlington Heights on Sunday, October 6, from 2:00-5:00 p.m., followed by a funeral mass at St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights on Monday, October 7, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will also be offered at the church prior to the mass from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Ronald McDonald's Children's Charities would be appreciated.

I first met Don when the company that I worked for assigned me to work for Don's company. Over time, I worked on projects with Don, and at some point his wife, Marlene. and my wife, Gwen, shared social events like restaurants and birthdays with Don. I also met his two daughters, Julie and Mary Ann, and his son, Steve. Don was one of the friendliest people I knew, and it was a pleasure to know him for so many years. He will be missed.

I have so many wonderful memories of Don . We served on our Steinmetz High School Reunion committee together for 10years and I enjoyed every minute of our planning. He wasn't just a natural leader, I considered him a friend and news of is passing has saddened me deeply. My sincere sympathy to Marlene and his children Julie , Mary Kay and Steve. May all your wonderful memories of him help to comfort you
