Earle Burdock Obituary

Earle F. Burdock of Round Lake Beach Funeral services for Earle F. Burdock, 88, formerly of Fox Lake and Wauconda, will be private for the family. Born July 22, 1916, in Chicago, the son of the late Harry J. and Mary (nee Dolotowski) Burdock, he passed away Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at Hillcrest Nursing Center. Earle retired to Mount Home, Ark. in 1986 and lived there before moving to Round Lake Beach in 2003. He graduated from Grant High School in Fox Lake, and served in the Army in New Guinea during World War II. Earle owned and operated a fuel oil delivery business in Wauconda for several years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Lions Club and American Legion. He also was in auto sales in Crystal Lake and other areas. On June 18, 1938 he married Helen V. Eiter in Fox Lake, and she preceded him in death in July of 1993. On Sept. 27, 1994 he married Juanita Ross Cristy in Mount Home, and she preceded him in death in Sept. of 2001. Survivors include his daughter, Sharon (Steven) Hubbard of Antioch; sons, David (the late Linda) Burdock of Joplin, Mo. and Bruce Burdock of Twin Lakes, Wis.; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Season Hospice, 1600 Dempster St., Park Ridge, IL 60068. Arrangements were made by Strang Funeral Home of Antioch. For information‚ (847)395-4000.
