April 16, 2006

I moved to Chicago from Arkansas when I was 22 and Liz was 20. She was my very first friend here. She made me laugh from day 1 and cracked me up trying to imitate my southern accent. We worked together at the O'Hare Hilton front desk and were constantly in trouble for laughing too much ... and too loud. We always took our lunch break together because no one else loved food like we did! We had our children about the same time and have had hilarious conversations over the years about the joys of being a mom. One of the things I loved most about Liz was that she never changed from the time we were in our 20's. She was always fun, irreverent and could find humor in darn near anything. I will always remember her wonderful laugh, contagious smile, sassy personality, and ability for unconditional love. My heart is broken for Mark, Noelle, Luke, Teresa and Mrs. Steglinski... plus all those Canadian relatives that she was so crazy about. I'll miss you my precious friend ... Beverly
