Tobin V. Uhren, 69, of Davis Junction, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2025, at home surrounded by family and loved ones.
Born on June 19, 1956, in Chicago, IL, to the late Victor and Genevieve Uhren, Tobin attended Ridgewood High School and completed his GED. Employed in the Automotive Recycling Industry as a "Junk Yard Dog" for the majority of his career. Running parallel to the time of his employment, Tobin surrendered his life to the Lord Jesus Christ which is evidenced by over thirty-eight years of servitude to causes that adversely affect those with alcoholism and addiction. Tobin has touched many of our hearts during his time here with all of us.
He dedicated his time to helping others find recovery and hope, guiding countless people toward a better life through his faith.
Tobin will be remembered for his loyal heart, strong faith, and one-of-a-kind humor. He had a gift for making people laugh, even in the toughest moments, and often shared his wisdom and faith in the Lord over a cup of McDonald’s coffee. His presence brought light to every room, and his strength and humility will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debra; children, Robert (Gia) Uhren, Steven (Angelina) Uhren; Heather (Rusty) Hackman, Natasha (Antonio) Crutcher; grandchildren, Isabel, Antonia, Mariah, Julian, Angelo, Audrey, Ella and Benjamin V.; and sisters, June (Joe) Villardita, Jenny (Tony) DiGuida, and Peggy Sue (Tom) Dunaj.
Preceded in death by his parents Victor, Genevieve and brother, Louis Uhren.
