JOHN HYNEMAN Obituary

John George "Jack" Hyneman passed into Eternal Life on May 13, 2023. He will be remembered for his life of dedicated Love. First God, then family and then Nation. He has been an inspiration to so many people covering multiple generations. Jack was born on October 21, 1927, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. He was the son of Arthur and Beatrice Hyneman and had four brothers and two sisters. Jack enlisted with the United States Navy and served from 1945-1947 and received his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from St. John's University, Collegeville, Minnesota in 1951. Jack married Constance Louise Thielman on October 6, 1951, and moved to Evanston, IL, where he began his 36 year career with Washington National Insurance Company. From there, a short stint of retirement and then on to his dream of helping people through his company, Affiliated Financial Planning Services. He kept his focus on service throughout his career. Jack and Connie started their family living in an apartment in Evanston, IL then moved to the new community of Rolling Meadows in 1957. The Hyneman's were one of the founding families of Jack's beloved Catholic Parish, St. Colette, where Jack served in many capacities including "world's oldest" Altar Server, until he was 92 years old. Jack would say that every day offers opportunities to serve and love and left that legacy wherever he went. Connie, the mother of his 8 children passed into Eternal Life on October 6, 1971, on their 20th wedding anniversary. Jack married Florentine Honore Van Nieuwenhove (Jackie Van) on July 14, 1973. They were married until March 15, 2005, when Jackie passed to Eternal Life. Jack is also predeceased and welcomed in Heaven by his three sons, Mark, Gregory, Thomas; and granddaughter, Amanda. He is survived by his children, Deborah Ann Hyneman, Judy Louise (Jay) Skulborstad, Paul William (Brenda), Diane Marie (William) Collis and Robert Alan (Deanne) Hyneman; fifteen grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. May Jack's soul live on and his legacy continue! In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
