John Meyer Obituary

John W. Meyer of Elgin Memorial service for John W. Meyer, 69, formerly of Hoffman Estates, will be held at 8 p.m. today, at Willow Creek Community Church, 67 E. Algonquin Road, South Barrington. Born Sept. 30, 1934, in Detroit, he died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at Sherman Hospital. Cremation is private. John was a lay minister at Willow Creek and very involved in community care. He was the loving father of Mark (Sandy) and Robin (David) Tedesco; proud grandfather of Meghan and Michelle; and dear friend of Nancy Meyer. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of services at 8 p.m. today, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials made to Willow Creek Community Church, 67 E. Algonquin Road, South Barrington, IL 60010 appreciated. Arrangements were made by Countryside Funeral Home & Crematory, Streamwood/Schaumburg.
