Kathryn Odell Obituary

Kathryn J. Odell Services for Kathryn J. Odell (nee Schiethe), 96, a resident of the Delnor Glen Assisted Living in St. Charles, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, at College Church in Wheaton, 332 E. Seminary Ave., Wheaton, IL 60187. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, at the Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. Born Nov. 4, 1908, in Chicago, she died Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at home. Kathryn was a member of College Church in Wheaton for 60 years. She had a beautiful voice and sang in the choir for many years. She loved to read her Bible and pray for her family. She was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her son, Dr. Stewart I. (Vivian) Odell; her daughter, Jeanette K. (the late Deane) Burroughs; her grandsons, Mark (Vivica), Eric (Mary), Adam (Kate), Todd, and Dr. Sean Odell, and Charles (Juli) Burroughs; her granddaughter, Liz (Rick) Spaker; her great-grandchildren, Caleb, Zachary, Isaac, Tyler, Sam, Micah, Megan, Eli, Jacob, Emily, and Kiah Ann Odell, Cody Simon, and Charles Burroughs Jr.; her sisters, Jessie (Stanford) Ernest, and Ethel (the late Samuel) Langdell; ten nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death in 1994, by her husband of 64 years, I. Stewart Odell; her parents, Jessie N. Schiethe and Arthur E. Schiethe; her grandson, Deane P. Burroughs III; two sisters, Eleanor Robinson and Margaret Schwarz; and her brother, Earl "Russ" Schiethe. Memorials may be made to the Missions'Fund at College Church at the address above.
