Mike, our deepest condolences on the passing of the amazing Kris!! So many memories, not even sure where to start. Kris was my biggest cheerleader when she worked at the post office. I loved that her route in our neighborhood was always after school so I could see her. When my sister was born, my life was flipped upside down. She always cheered me on how it´s going to be ok, it will be fun, how we will be best friends. She reminded me all the time how I said I wanted my sister to go back to wherever she came from! Kris had a heart made of pure gold, truly the sweetest, most generous, loving, human! She was right with everything!

I was a freshman in hs when I signed up to do relay for life. I had asked Kris to do the survivor walk as my guest. She hesitated and we truly didn´t know if she would walk until moments before. She thanked me so much for the push, as this was her beginning with the American Cancer Society, the founding of her organization, the involvement and her hard work.

In 2015, I got married, I was so thankful Kris and Mike came to see me marry the love of my life. Though this was the last time I saw Kris, I loved keeping in touch, I loved getting the holiday cards, birthday wishes, checking in how she was doing. Kris, you fought a long and tough battle! Heaven gained a beautiful angel! Although we will miss you, knowing you are no longer in pain in suffering brings so much comfort! Prayers with the family during this difficult time!

Mike,
I hope your heart will soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together with Krissy as you celebrate a life well lived. She was such an awesome lady. Krissy was so friendly and actually one of the first people I ever met from the post office. I always had fun with her. I remember doing the paddleboat with her a twin lakes, going camping with you both and having a riot. Remember, you guys bought a little Martian statue that the metal artist made? I remember Krissy saying she was going to put it by the fire fireplace. I always was looking forward to seeing her at the old annual postal parties.
With all of her battles with cancer, I was so happy to see her thriving when she took up making jewelry. Did you know you are married to such a great artist? I always wanted to come over and learn from her by doing it with her and I never made the time. This is something I´ll always regret. God bless Mikey. My condolences to you and your family. Love and hugs Shannon Quaritsch
