Louis E. "Bud" Lange Jr.

Louis E. "Bud" Lange Jr. of Elgin Funeral services for Louis E. "Bud" Lange Jr., 92, formerly of West Dundee, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 310 E. Main St., East Dundee. The Rev. Phillip Baerwolf, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Dundee Township East Cemetery, East Dundee. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the church. Born Sept 1, 1915, in West Dundee, the son of the late Louis E. Sr. and Ella (nee Frier) Lange, he died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007 at the Apostolic Christian Resthaven in Elgin. He was a lifelong resident of the Dundee-Elgin area; a 1929 graduate of Dundee Community High School; and a lifelong member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Dundee. Bud was a former 38-year employee of the Illinois Bell Telephone Co. and a life member of the Telephone Pioneers. Survivors include his children, Stephen (Kathy) Lange of Elgin, Dr. James (Christine) Lange. DDS of Fergus Falls, Minn., and Carol (Fred) Marwig of Hampshire; grandchildren, Stephen (Karin) Lange of Oswego, Karen (Greg) Precup of Montgomery, Althea (Matt) Stamps of Billingham. Wash., Dr.Nicholas Lange, MD of Bethesda, Md., Zachary (Sarah) Lange of Minneapolis, Alexander Lange of Germany, Amanda (Reuben) Nelson of West Dundee and Fred (Lori) Marwig of Hampshire; great-grandchildren, Maverick Lange, Zachary and Zoe Precup and Ashlyn Marwig; sister, Ruth Eagan of Naples, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 65 years, Marguerite M. (nee Jungnickel) Lange on Dec. 4, 2001; daughter-in-law, Catherine; his brother, Melvin "Mike" Lange; sister, Ethel Allen; and a granddaughter in infancy, Amy Lange. Please omit flowers.
