PATRICK JOSEPH LYNN

ELGIN - Patrick Joseph Lynn, 84, passed away November 5, 2016. Pat is survived by his beloved wife, Diana (nee Bechtold-Zabreska); children Patrick (Charlene), Jerrold, Dee (Paul), Scott (Anna), and Meghan; grandchildren, Patrick, Sean, Kassidy, Jack, Michael, Ruby, Adisson, Grace, Austin, and Emerson; sisters, Margaret and Judy, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, John Lawrence Lynn, his sister Mary Kubica, and his parents Crawford and Julia (nee O'Connor) Lynn. A carpenter by trade and Korean War Veteran, Pat will be remembered for his witty sense of humor and endless story telling, his handyman skills and uncanny ability to fix (or geri-rig) anything, including his many cars collected throughout the years. He was an avid golfer, Hall of Fame athlete at Trinity High School, and loyal fan of Chicago sports teams, especially the Blackhawks and the Cubs. Thankfully, he was able to witness their World Series victory. Most importantly, he will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and a loyal friend to many. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10th from 4 pm-9 pm at Yurs Funeral Home, 1771 W. State St. (Route 38), Geneva, IL. Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 11th 10:30 am at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 6N491 Crane Road, St. Charles, IL.
