TIMOTHY J. HOFFMANN

1966 - 2016

Timothy J. Hoffmann, age 49, was born November 19, 1966 in Chicago, IL and passed away on July 11, 2016 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. Tim is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Susan (nee Knee); his sons, Jake, Ben and Finn; his father, Robert Hoffmann; his sister, Julie (Ciro) Iandoli and brother, Scott Hoffmann; his nieces and nephews, Jack, Julianne, Katie, Nico, Louie, Krystle, Jason, Will, Mitch, Sam, Danny, Emmett, Ella, Charlie, Michelle, Catie and Claire; as well as countless good friends and his faithful buddy, Butkus. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Hoffmann. Tim attended SS. Peter & Paul Grade School, graduated from Benet Academy (Class of 1984) and earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in 1988. He was a partner at New Vision Print and Marketing and greatly enjoyed his work. He was an avid sports fan, especially for his Chicago Bears. Above all else, Tim was an amazing father to his boys and showed how much he loved them in his very unique way. He taught them that there is power in looking silly and not caring that you do. For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Tim's life, a memorial fund is being established to benefit the future education of his sons. Visitation will be Friday, July 15, 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. All are invited to gather together at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1500 Brookdale Rd., Naperville on Saturday, July 16, at 10:00 AM for the Mass of Christian Burial.
