Ruby Josephine (Hull) Jones
FARMINGTON – Ruby Josephine (Hull) Jones of Farmington, Missouri, passed away at home with her family by her side on January 28, 2021, at the age of 98 years, 11 months and 9 days. Ruby was born near Caledonia, Missouri, on February 19, 1922, to the late Houston H. and Mildred M. (Talley) Hull.
As a devoted mother, Ruby raised two daughters. In January 2015, her youngest daughter, M. Charlene Goff, preceded her in death. Ruby leaves behind her daughter, Alma Welker and her husband Cecil, with whom she lived for the past several years. Ruby is also survived by her son-in-law, William "Bill" Goff. Also surviving are five grandchildren who love their Grandmother dearly: Kimberlee Welker, Daniel Welker and his wife Janice, Jeremy Goff and his wife Abbey, Wm. Wesley Goff and his wife, Robin, and Timothy Goff. Ruby also cherished her eight great-grandchildren, Garrett Welker and his fiance' Nikki Randant, Gregory Welker and his wife Emily, Bradlee, JoyEllen and RubyAna Welker, Fiona Goff, Penelope "Penny" and Charlotte Goff.
On July 14, 1962, Ruby married the love of her life, Bernard D. "Beano" Jones. They shared almost 30 years together, before Beano's passing on April 14, 1992. Their marriage also blessed Ruby with four bonus sons, Randall Jones, Bruce (and his late wife Billie) Jones, Clayte and his wife Debbie Jones, and Wade and his wife Kathy Jones. Beano's boys and their extended families also survive. Ruby was also preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Leonard and Zoe Jones.
Ruby was also a beloved sister and aunt. She was preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers, as well as several brothers-and-sisters-in law, Lena Montgomery and her husband Sterling, Rosalie Moser and her husband Dale, Walter Hull and his wife, Opal, Edward and his wife Geraldine A. Hull, Vernon Hull and his wife, Muriell, Cordell and his wife, T. Geraldine Hull, Henry Hull, and Norman Jackson.
She leaves behind two sisters, one brother, one brother-in-law, and two sisters-in-law; Shirley Jackson, Darline Barnhouse and her husband Jerry, Stanley Hull and his wife, Betty, and Mary Hull. Many nieces and nephews also survive, including Peggy White, who assisted Ruby in attending congregation meetings and participating in the Field Ministry and Hilda Ballew who was always there to help her Aunt Ruby whenever and however needed.
Ruby is also survived by many honorary grandchildren, who she loved as her own including: Karen Friedeck, Heather Wagganer, Deana Todt, Zek Wagganer and M.J. Wecker.
Ruby also leaves behind cousins, friends, and her dear congregation family.
Ruby was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in October 1954, and she attended the Farmington Kingdom Hall. She also frequently visited the Desloge Congregation with her family. Ruby loved to read, especially the Bible and scriptural study publications. She loved her family and friends, and had a generous spirit. But most of all, she loved her Heavenly Father, Jehovah God.
Ruby's family would like to thank the staff of Kindred Hospice, especially her nurse, Donna Spain and aides, Alicia, Brittany, and Ammie.
