LaWanda Williams Obituary
LaWanda, "Wanda Jean" as she was called, had a great sense of humor, was a joy to be around, and she loved her family. She was employed at McDonald's in Collierville for over ten years, until her health declined.
She passed away Friday, May 2, 2025 at St. Francis Hospital Bartlett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy Williams, Sr. & Gloria Williams; one brother, Antonio Williams; two brothers-in-law, Raymond Cleaves and Rickey L. Williams; four aunts, Joyce Kee (Sim), Shirley Ann Sears, Lucienda Sears, Marie Westbrook (Ize); one uncle, Scott Sears; one nephew, Marvelle Williams.
LaWanda leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband, Thomas Earl Williams; a daughter, JoWanda Williams; three sons, Kevin Williams, LaQuan Williams, and KeShaun Williams; her step-father, John Williams; three grandchildren, Marquis, Jr., MaKiya, and Kayden; four brothers, Willie Sears (Esha), Jimmy Williams, Jr. (ShaRhonda), Seneca Williams, and Leon Williams; two brothers-in-law, James E. Williams (Phyllis), Chester Williams (Angela); three sisters-in-law, Min. Barbara J. Becton (Toney), Carolyn Williams, Joyce Williams; three nieces, Denise Sears, LaKyria Williams, Dajha Hardin; three cousin/sisters, LaToshia Coleman, Joanne Gunn (James), Andrian Tripplett (Charles); four uncles, eleven aunts; and a host of other relatives and friends who loved her.
Visitation Friday, May 16, 2025 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at H.C. Jett-H.C. Ford Funeral Home, 203 Washington St., Collierville, TN 38017. Funeral service Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at New Stinson Community Church, 230 Frazier Rd., Rossville, TN 38066. Interment at Mt. Zion M.B. Church Cemetery, 300 Mt. Zion Rd., Piperton, TN 38017. Rev. Clarence Williams, officiating.
