Michael Battistelli Obituary

Michael Louis Battistelli, age 72, resident of Collierville, Tennessee and Husband of the late Jill Elizabeth Battistelli. departed this life Wednesday morning at Methodist Germantown Hospital in Germantown, Tennessee.

Michael was born November 26, 1952, in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late Elmo Battistelli and Elizabeth Angelo Battistelli. He was employed as a warehouse manager for many years before his retirement. Affectionally known as “Weezer”, Michael was loved by everyone that knew him.

Michael moved to Alaska in the mid-70’s and opened a record and video store. He later moved to Seattle, Washington where he coached and played men’s softball. He was the patriarch of the Battistelli family and originated the Memphis Italian Festival for family reunions.

Mr. Battistelli is survived by his two sisters, Antoinette Anderson (Rusty) and Ann Griffin (Greg); and his nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Elmo Battistelli.

Services are incomplete at this time.
