Anthony Coleman Obituary
He was preceded in death by his father, Nimrod Coleman; and his brother, Charles Coleman; and a brother-in-law, Thomas Winborne Jr.
Anthony was a graduate of Roosevelt High School, Bronx, N.Y., and received his Associate Degree from Monroe Community College. He was a veteran of the Navy and was employed as an Electronic Tech at Raytheon Company for 10 years. He was a member of St. Timothy Baptist Church of Suffolk where he was a member of the Sunday School, Mass Choir, Men's Ministry and Audio/Tape Ministry.
He leaves precious memories to his wife, Jewell Winborne Coleman; his daughter, Lauren Winborne; son, Ryan Winborne, all of Hampton; his mother, Marie Scott Coleman; eight sisters, Lorine Coleman, Jeanette Coleman Alexander, Verna Lewis, Karen Mozone, Claurice M. Dingle, Sandra Coleman, Cynthia Reynolds and Ruth Thomas; three brothers, Jimmy Lee Scott, Gilmore Coleman and Alfred O'Neal Coleman; godmothers, Katie Alexander, Virginia Evans and Frances Glover; father-in-law, Thomas Winborne Sr. (Ethel); sisters and brothers-in-law, Dianne Gee (Clister), Barbara Walton (Lester), Wanda Lawrence (Antoine), Tonya Hall, Steven Winborne, Tony Winborne (Melissa), Terry Winborne (Kimberly) and Dwayne Winborne (Katrina); and other relatives and friends.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, at St. Timothy Baptist Church, 1613 East Washington Street, Suffolk, officiated by Pastor Thomas E. Harden Jr. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. A Christian Wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at St. Timothy Baptist Church. The family will be at 1105 Custis Road, Suffolk, Va.

Hey Ant. Years have passed and you are still alive in our hearts. we miss you and Vernia soooooooooo much. I don't know what the after life is really about but i do hope that you are seeing all our relatives that have sinced passed. I don't know when my time will be but when it happens i do hope it is what i hear it is about and i do hope to see you all in heaven. To: My beloved brother Anthony,
I'm sending you a Heaven Birthday message. When God called you home,on your first Heaven B-Day,I believed it was a B-Day of celebration in Heaven. I can see the Angels rejoicing, to welcome you into Heaven. Most of all, Jesus, was waiting with open arms.
That being said, I can't believe 5years are upon us, since your demise from God great earth. I want to wish my charming brother, a fifth Happy Birthday in Heaven. I'm curious, as to what you're doing, for your 5th B-Day in Heaven.

GM, I am here at work and "Close To You" Bebe and Cece Winans comes on the radio. This is the song that a put the video I had made for my brother when he passed. You never stop missing your loved ones, you just get to a point that you tuck them in a piece of your heart safely. At any time of the day or night, we will think of them, cry, smile or just stare into space. Today, my heart ached silently and tears stroll down my face when I heard this song. My youngest brother Anthony would have been 51 on 29 May :(. I hope you are resting in Peace Anthony. I still ask why you IJS.

Anthony - 4 years have breezed by and I still miss you like it was yesterday. I posted your song to FaceBook on 19 September "Close To You - by BeBe and CeCe Winans". It was hard to listen to the song because it bought back so many memories of the day you was called to be with our father God. Anthony - Tahria stopped by your gravesite to visit on her way back from Roberts wedding. Yeah Rob remarried and I am sure he would have invited you if you was still on earth with us. I still cannot believe you departed this Earth in 2009. It was a very sad Day, I think of you often. I often reminisce how you made us laugh by telling your crazy Jokes, Clowning and imitating People to perfection. You also, manage to crack Jokes and make us laugh during your last Days. A very somber day for the family. Anthony, when you perished from this earth (9-13-2009),gone to soon, oh dear Lord, gone to soon. Only the Holy Spirit knows, why you were taking from us. Oh,my beautiful brother,how I missed you something awful. Sunshine,Moonlight,Delight,just a few words describing,who you were. Also, you were a loving and giving person. Can't denied the fact that,you were a very amusing individual. I truly missed those lengthy conversations,we had over the phone.
