POQUOSON - David Thomas Withrow, 34, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 26, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of the Peninsula and was a graduate of Poquoson High School. He was a welder by trade. He came from a long line of waterman and loved being on the water and was a true outdoorsman. He adored his Labs, RIP and Hank. David was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Mary Withrow. He is survived by his siblings; Billy E. Withrow, Jr. of Newport News, Rodney G. Withrow, Sr. of Gloucester, Brian K. Withrow (Carrie) of Poquoson and Renee Withrow of Newport News; his grandmother, Katherine Withrow of Newport News; his nieces and nephews, Kennedy, Damion, Rodney, Jr., Brittany, Leland, Anna and Landon and many uncles, aunts and cousins. A Memorial Service Celebrating David's Life will be held on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11:00am at Weymouth Funeral Home with visitation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Healing Place, 700 Dinwiddie Ave., Richmond, VA 23224. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.

I am honored and blessed to have known David. He was truly a blessing in our lives and we will miss him. Every mother prays for that someone special for her child. Then, one day David appeared. The man my daughter, Amanda had prayed for since she was a little girl, the man Id prayed for since she was born. Although the time together was short, it was a gift of a lifetime. I know David soars with the angels now. One day we will see David again in Heaven.
